Early contractor list

Get scoped repair briefs from landlords and letting agents.

FixQuotes is building a network for contractors who want scoped maintenance work, not vague leads. Every brief is manually reviewed before it reaches you and includes the job scope, postcode area, urgency, access route and photos where supplied. You quote only when the brief fits. No subscription, no per-lead fee.

Why contractors join the early list

Brief before contact

You see the scope, postcode area, urgency, access route and photos where supplied before deciding whether to quote.

Quote when it fits

Decline jobs outside your trade, coverage, capacity or appetite. The point is fewer vague enquiries, not a bigger inbox.

Same scope, fairer comparison

Every invited trade quotes against the same facts, so customers compare price, availability, inclusions and terms without moving the goalposts.

No per-lead fee

No subscription and no charge just to unlock a phone number. If you win paid work introduced through FixQuotes, we agree a referral fee in writing.

How reviewed briefs work

  1. 1

    Join the early list

Send your trade, coverage area, insurance and relevant registrations. We are onboarding area by area.

  2. 2

    We check the fit

We review your coverage, paperwork and the type of landlord or agent work you actually want.

  3. 3

    Receive scoped briefs

When a matching job arrives, you get the brief first: scope, access, urgency, photos where supplied and quote deadline.

  4. 4

    Quote, win, deliver

If your quote is selected, you contract directly with the customer. Any FixQuotes referral fee is agreed separately.

What reviewed means here

A brief you can actually price

Reviewed does not mean guaranteed job volume or an awarded job. It means we check the request before it reaches you and make the scope explicit enough for you to decide quickly.

  • Trade category and postcode area
  • Urgency and preferred attendance window
  • Access route and contact route
  • Photos, files and tenant notes where supplied
  • Missing information flagged before you quote
  • Credentials the job requires, such as Gas Safe or Part P

Who we onboard

We are selective because landlords and agents need repairs handled properly, and contractors need briefs worth quoting. To be considered for early access, send:

  • Public liability insurance
  • Trade-specific registrations where required by law, such as Gas Safe for gas works or Part P competence for fixed electrical work
  • Recent landlord, letting-agent, commercial or portfolio maintenance references where available
  • Clear postcode coverage and trade categories
  • Willingness to quote in a standard format so customers can compare like for like

If you are a sole trader with strong references and the right qualifications for your trade, get in touch. We look at the full picture.

Contractor questions

How much is the referral fee?

The fee is agreed with you in writing before live work is introduced. The principle is simple: no subscription, no per-lead fee, and no fee unless introduced work is awarded and goes ahead.

Do I have to take every job?

No. You see the brief and decide whether to quote. If you don't have capacity, decline — there's no penalty.

Who do I contract with for the work?

You contract directly with the customer (the landlord or property manager). FixQuotes is the introducer. We do not become a party to your contract or to the works themselves.

Do I get paid by the customer or by FixQuotes?

The customer pays you directly for the works, on whatever terms you agree with them. FixQuotes invoices you separately for the referral fee, after the work is completed.

What trades do you cover?

We are most interested in plumbing and heating, gas safety, EICR/electrical, roofing, damp surveys, decorating, general maintenance, glazing, locksmiths, EPCs and end-of-tenancy works. If you offer a related trade, ask.

What areas do you cover?

Contractor onboarding is area by area, starting where we can review coverage properly. Tell us your postcode coverage and we will only share briefs where the location fits.

How do I know jobs are real?

We only send briefs after a landlord, letting agent or property manager submits a maintenance issue. We do not generate synthetic leads, and we do not ask you to pay simply to unlock contact details.

Partner referrals

Landlord accountants, inventory clerks, insurance brokers, landlord consultants, and property sourcers regularly introduce landlords and agencies to us. Interested in referring landlords or agencies? Ask about a transparent partner arrangement.
