Terms & Conditions
Last updated: April 2026
These terms govern your use of the FixQuotes website and quote-sourcing service. By using the service you agree to them.
1. What FixQuotes is
FixQuotes introduces and coordinates quote requests between property managers and contractors. We do not warrant or guarantee the work performed by contractors.
All works are carried out by independent third-party contractors. FixQuotes is not the contractor and does not perform the works.
2. How we make money
FixQuotes is free for landlords, letting agents, and property managers. We earn a referral fee from contractors when they win paid work introduced through us.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the job and the property.
- Where works require legally regulated qualifications (for example Gas Safe registration for gas works, or Part P competence for fixed electrical work), users should verify the contractor's credentials directly before authorising the work.
- Enter into any contract for the work directly with the contractor you choose. FixQuotes is not a party to that contract.
4. Quotes are estimates
Quotes are provided by independent contractors based on the brief we send them. Final pricing may change after a site visit or once unforeseen issues are identified. Confirm the scope and final price with the contractor before authorising the work.
5. No warranty on works
FixQuotes does not warrant or guarantee the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any works carried out by contractors introduced through us. Any warranty in respect of the work itself is provided by the contractor under your contract with them.
6. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FixQuotes is not liable for losses arising from the conduct of contractors introduced through us, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Privacy
Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
